Our Story
RexCo is an American creative collective and studio founded by Nick Allen (C-Listers) and Troy-Jeffrey Allen (Bamn!, District Comics). We operate out of Georgia and Washington, DC.
The studios first title launched in 2016 with Fight of the Century, a "biopunk" MMA comic supported by Kickstarter. Written by Troy-Jeffrey and Nick, the book featured art by Julius Abrera (G.I. Joe vs. Cobra), Netho Diaz (Marvel's Predator), Marcus Williams (Tuskegee Heirs), and renowned painter Mshindo Kuumba. Fight of the Century ("FotC") would ultimately go on to become a finalist at the Glyph Awards in 2019.
While the ongoing series FotC continues to be the studios premier title, Troy and Nick continue to work individually and collaboratively as "RexCo." In 2018, Troy-Jeffrey began the comic strips series Frontiersmen with artist Matt Rawson for The Magic Bullet newspaper. In 2020, he and artist SMACK! released a posthumous tribute comic to rapper MF DOOM titled ALL CAPS. In 2021, Nick and artist Mervyn McKoy contributed to Z2 Comics' anthology title Black is Noir. The book features real-life slave rebellion leader Nanny of the Maroons. Later in 2021, Troy teamed up with Chuck D to contribute to Apocalypse '91: Revolution Never Sleeps. A spiritual sequel to Public Enemy's 1991 album of the same name.
RexCo’s mission is to continually curate colorful, explosive, world-championship storytelling across subgenres.
Our #CreateTheCulture "bomb tag" isn't just a brand, it's the threat of a good time.
